hero Welcomes Rugby Hall-of-Famer Jamie Peacock MBE to the Team

1st December 2020

We are delighted that rugby league legend Jamie Peacock MBE has joined the hero team to bring his expertise around mindset and leadership to our clients.

Jamie will be part of the content and preventative health delivery team where he will be running workshops and courses for clients designed to boost employees’ health, wellbeing, leadership skills, and goal setting, while improving their self-belief, attitude and honesty.

These workshops/courses will form part of our Mindset preventative health education programme and will include Jamie’s own Building Champions mentoring programme.

Based upon Jamie’s No White Flag keynote talk’s principles of success, this bespoke programme covers personal development and leadership; aiming to embed winning habits and leadership styles over a six, 10 or 26 week period.

Alongside a team of other hand-picked preventative health specialists, Jamie will help deliver evidence-based support tools, tips and guidance to Mindset customers.

Jamie said: “I’m both thrilled and excited to be joining the hero team, particularly at a time when investing in the health and wellbeing of employees is so vital to help them deal with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Research from Total Jobs has found that only six per cent of workers openly talk about their mental health and wellbeing with colleagues and managers during lockdowns and 15 per cent of employees want more support and workshops to be provided by either their HR departments or external helplines.

The research also revealed that 64 per cent of workers still want additional support from their bosses as they experience the effects of a second lockdown.

53 per cent believe that their bosses will be more conscious of their team’s mental health and 42 per cent believe that more resources will be put in place this time.

This suggests it’s more important than ever for employers to act on this feedback and offer staff health and wellbeing support.

This is something we can provide through our tailored wellbeing plans and Jamie believes the service we offer and the support via our online platform Navigator is market-leading and, from his experience, game-changing for the world of corporate wellbeing.

Considered one of the best players of his generation, Jamie has won every honour in the domestic game of rugby league, also captaining our GB and national team.

Since then, the honours he’s achieved off the field have been just as incredible, excelling as a leadership development coach and motivational speaker, being named Yorkshire Sports Personality of the Year and being awarded an MBE for his services to the game, to name just a few.

We’re delighted to welcome Jamie to the team and further expand our services, programmes and support to our clients.
